Build Kairn’s entire digital ecosystem for the release of their mobile app.
KAIRN AIMS TO MAKE THE MENTAL COACHING METHODS USED BY TOP ATHLETES AND EXECUTIVES ACCESSIBLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. THE TEAM ASKED ME TO DESIGN A STRONG AND CONSISTENT IDENTITY, LAY THE FOUNDATIONS FOR AN ENGAGING USER EXPERIENCE, AND CREATE A COMPLETE DIGITAL ECOSYSTEM FOR THE LAUNCH OF THE APPLICATION.
MY ROLE IN THIS PROJECT WAS GLOBAL: DEFINING THE BRAND IMAGE, DESIGNING THE UX/UI OF THE MOBILE APP, DESIGNING A LANDING PAGE TO ATTRACT EARLY USERS, AND DEVELOPING TEMPLATES FOR SOCIAL MEDIA. TODAY, I CONTINUE TO WORK WITH KAIRN TO DEVELOP THE APP AND INTEGRATE NEW FEATURES.
#BRAND DESIGN
Build a strong identity
THE FIRST STEP WAS TO CREATE AN IDENTITY THAT REFLECTED KAIRN’S VALUES: RESPECT FOR ALL, TOTAL COMMITMENT, HUMILITY, IMPROVEMENT, SHARING, AND GENEROSITY.

A SIMPLE, MEMORABLE SHAPE INSPIRED BY CAIRNS, THOSE PILES OF STONES THAT MARK HIKING TRAILS, EVOKING BOTH STABILITY AND ASCENT, JUST LIKE KAIRN, WHICH GUIDES EVERYONE, STEP BY STEP, TOWARD GREATER SELF-UNDERSTANDING AND LASTING PROGRESS.



THE NATURAL COLOR PALETTE EVOKES A SERENE ENVIRONMENT CONDUCIVE TO PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT.
KAIRN’S GRAPHIC UNIVERSE IS DEVELOPED AROUND A VISUAL LANGUAGE BASED ON THE ORGANIC SHAPES OF PEBBLES AND ROPE LINES. THESE SHAPES ARE ROOTED IN THE MOUNTAIN WORLD AND ARE DRESSED IN THE DIFFERENT COLORS OF THE CHARTER OR VISUALS TO COMBINE INTO BALANCED AND HARMONIOUS ENSEMBLES. THE AIM OF THESE COMPOSITIONS IS TO SYMBOLIZE A MOVEMENT OF PROGRESSION AND BALANCE IN THEIR DESIGN.



ALL THIS WORK HAS BEEN INTEGRATED INTO A CLEAR AND SCALABLE BRAND GUIDELINES SYSTEM, ENSURING CONSISTENCY WHILE ALLOWING FLEXIBILITY FOR FUTURE DEVELOPMENTS IN THE APPLICATION AND COMMUNICATION MATERIALS.

#APP UX/UI DESIGN
Supporting daily progress through a clear and motivating experience

THE APP, THE HEART OF THE KAIRN PROJECT, HAS BEEN DESIGNED TO OFFER AN INTUITIVE, SUPPORTIVE, AND ACCESSIBLE EXPERIENCE, HELPING USERS ACHIEVE THEIR GOALS DAY AFTER DAY THROUGH A PERSONALIZED MENTAL COACHING PROGRAM SUPPORTED BY AN AI COACH.
I DESIGNED THE VARIOUS USER JOURNEYS AND THEIR VARIATIONS IN TEMPLATES, ORGANIZED AROUND CLEAR NAVIGATION STRUCTURED INTO FIVE MAIN SECTIONS: OBJECTIVES, EXERCISES, COACH, JOURNAL, AND PROFILE. PARTICULAR ATTENTION WAS GIVEN TO TRACKING TOOLS, SUCH AS OVERALL PROGRESS, MOOD JOURNAL, AND COACH FEEDBACK.



ONE OF THE MAIN CHALLENGES WAS DESIGNING THE OBJECTIVES SECTION, WHICH HAD TO VISUALLY REPRESENT THE USER’S PROGRESS AND ADAPT TO THEIR DIFFERENT STAGES OF ADVANCEMENT. LIKEWISE, THE EXERCISES TEMPLATES ALSO REPRESENTED A SIGNIFICANT CHALLENGE: THEY HAD TO COVER A WIDE VARIETY OF FORMATS (FREE TEXT, MULTIPLE CHOICE, GRADING, ETC.) AND EVOLVE ACCORDING TO THE COMPLETION STATUS OF THE EXERCISE (EMPTY VIEW, COMPLETED, COACH FEEDBACK). THE WHOLE THING WAS INTEGRATED INTO AN INTERFACE THAT REFLECTED THE BRAND’S VISUAL IDENTITY, WITH A SPACIOUS, INTUITIVE, AND SOOTHING UI.

Long-term support
BEYOND THE LAUNCH PHASE, I USUALLY SUPPORT MY CLIENTS THROUGH CHANGES, SO I CONTINUE TO HELP KAIRN WITH THE ONGOING IMPROVEMENT OF ITS APPLICATION. MY ROLE IS TO ADAPT THE UX/UI TO NEW FEATURES WHILE MAINTAINING CONSISTENCY WITH THE IDENTITY ESTABLISHED FROM THE BEGINNING.
